Three months ago I decided to bite the bullet.
Hi. I’m Annie McGuire and this is my Journey Blog.
My goal: Buy a house of my own. I’m sick to death of renting.
A lot of bloggers I follow pull in around $30K or more a month, but half that will work just fine.
Hitting the keyboard – with my forehead
It only took me 3-1/2 years to get to the starting point. The time was not wasted: I studied the situation and found excellent ‘netpreneurs to follow and get to know.
Oh, for corn’s sake, Annie, get real.
Okay, look – I spent 3 miserable, disgusted-with-myself years trying to pump myself up enough to get back on the business side of the Internet and make some extra money. Shame, stress, depression, all because I was afraid to get started.
I bought a lot of really good Internet Marketing products, and some icky yucky ones that were a total waste of money. Maybe I’ll figure out a way to make them pay for themselves. Some day.
In fact, all the money-making products I bought sat on my virtual shelf, barely opened.
Fantasies and staring into the refrigerator
For sure, I spent a lot of time fantasizing about making a bloody fortune online; you know the kind of money I’m talkin’, the f-you money like that girl in the last book of the Shogun series was awarded. Oh yeah. $2 Million was enough for that back then. Don’t know how much a girl needs today.
Somewhere along my drive down fantasy way, I started staring blankly into the refrigerator.
I kid you not. I can’t break the habit for love nor money. The microwave goes off, I open the refrigerator and stare. Need to fill my water bottle – stare into the refrigerator. Have to open the pet door, stare into the refrigerator.
Swear to God, the answer to everything’s gotta’ be in there somewhere, squeezed between the science experiments. Dunno. Maybe they have meds for that.
Anyway, in real life, I would have been overjoyed with just $300 a month. Hell, $100 sounded good.
Oh no, and I wasn’t going to be one of those Internet Marketing wannabes that the gurus warn about, the do-nothings who never follow a course so they can actually make some money. Oh hell no. Not me. … … yeah, me.
And who finally gave me the power to get off my ass? John Thornhill and his Partnership to Success / Product Creation Workshop. He’s my lighthouse now, and I wouldn’t trade him or my coach, Randy Smith, for all the tea in China. They have my back practically 24/7. Get Randy for your Coach today!
Am I pitchin’ here? You betcha’. I mean, it’s been like 15 years since I’ve been this happy and motivated. Of course I’m going to crow and tell you how good his course is.
Truth of the matter is, I joined John in May and it took me until August to get with the program. UGH! Who has that kind of time to throw in the compost bin? I sure don’t, I’ll be 73 this coming February.
But one day, can’t remember if it was shiny or wet, I just did it. I started writing, working on my first product.
It didn’t matter that I was demoralized, or that I was sick for months on end. Come hell or high water, I was determined to make a go of it, no matter how long it took for the first step. I mean like, c’mon! John and Randy are there to help me get back up if I trip or make an outright face plant, so what’s the hold up?
Time for grim determination: Jaw set, teeth sharpened, eyes narrow and focused. I knew if I just kept repeating my favorite mantra (that I keep forgetting), I want to be ambitious and driven ommm, I’d eventually snap back. And boy did I ever.
I started writing my first eBook course, scheduled to launch Spring of 2019; Randy patiently listened to my idiot blather and gently guided me down the right path. The man’s a ruddy miracle.
From there I set up my business plan in a flow chart (some call them mind maps), created the workflow chart for the book, and did the same for my marketing plan. Easy peasy once you grab on to the mindset.
Success, stand back. Here comes Annie!
I didn’t get this far because I have lousy coaches.
